Workplace Injury Claim Settled

An assault in any situation is an appalling event, but an assault that occurs in the workplace can be more devastating which can exacerbate injury and cause stress and loss of earnings.

Last year Porterwood Law: Previously PHC Preston helped a client that suffered from an assault at work. Our client decided to claim for personal injury. He suffered a very distressing incident when he was threatened and assaulted causing an exacerbation of a knee injury and an elbow injury, together with symptoms of anxiety and depression. All of this happened in the workplace.

At the conclusion of his case which was managed by our staff in the Chorley office, our client received £12,000 in compensation for the personal injury. This included private therapy sessions to help with his recovery from the incident.
