CICA Assault Claim Settled

A young man was the victim of an assault. He suffered personal injury and therefore claimed compensation. Porterwood Law: Previously PHC Law Preston successfully concluded his case.

A young man was the victim of a vicious assault. He subsequently became our client and instructed us to claim compensation, on his behalf from the CICA. It is not commonly known but if a person suffers injury because of an assault, it is their right to claim damages from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority is an executive agency of the Government. The Authority, established in the mid 1990’s, administers a compensation scheme for injuries caused to victims of violent crime.

Our client was attacked with a weapon and had a dog set on him. He suffered multiple injuries including an eye injury, cuts to his face requiring stitches and leaving scars, several dog bite injuries, then was knocked unconscious. He received £8,700 compensation.

If you have been the victim of a violent assault but aren’t sure what your rights are please give us a call; we don’t charge anything to speak with you. Then if we think your case has a degree of success we can offer you a NO WIN NO FEE agreement.
