Porter Wood Law Partner Formally Sworn In as Deputy District Judge

We’re incredibly proud to announce that our partner, Chris Wood, has been formally sworn in as a Deputy District Judge at Manchester County Court.

While Chris has already been serving in this role for the last five years, a recent policy change means all part-time judges now take part in a formal swearing-in ceremony. Today, he joined nine other Deputy District Judges in Manchester to take his official oath.

The ceremony at Manchester County Court was led by the Honourable Mrs Justice Knowles, a High Court Judge and the acting Designated Civil Judge for Manchester, His Honour Richard Pearce, who is pictured with Chris.
